HPLC Columns use sintered metal frits to retain the media and to provide uniform flow distribution for enhancing peak resolution in critical analysis applications. Sintered metal frits are also easy to assembly into the columns and form excellent seals with low dead volume. Sintered metal cups filter solvents on the pump inlet to remove particles and protect chromatographic instruments. Flow restrictors and controlled leaks are often used to control the pressure and flow rate of purge gases.
